How to Run Google Chrome as Root on Backtrack Linux or Ubuntu

When you run google chrome as root user you will get the following error(Google chrome cannot be run as root)




To run the google chrome as root user do the following steps:

Step :1

         Go to cd /opt/google/chrome


Step :2

  Open vi google-chrome  file. Find  the following line at last exec -a "$0" "$HERE/chrome" "$@"






Step:3

 Replace it to exec -a "$0" "$HERE/chrome" "$@" --user-data-dir $HOME

         Now open Google chrome from  the Application>Internet>Google Chrome .
